Doing Dublin

Let's face it. Our stay in Dublin consisted of drinking Guinness beer and if we weren't doing that, we were trying other Irish beers. We listened to some more great covers, enjoyed some traditional Irish folk music at a few pubs and took in the city, one sip at a time.

No need for concern...we're not alcoholics. But in reality we only had one night and a little less than a day to spend in Dublin, and it happens to be that touring the Guinness factory is one of the top To Dos on Dublin's list. The city is also a very lively, fun, beer-drinkin' city-or maybe it's more correct to say Guinness-drinkin' city. The pubs are packed with people dancing to the folk music and paying their next 7 euros for a beer (yes...7 euros.) And that beer is probably a Guinness.

The Guinness tour was very interesting! How fun is it to learn all about beer and then get a free pint at the end after learning how to pour your perfect cup??? Too fun.

Look at that focus...

On the top floor of the Guinness factory (also the highest "cylinder-shaped" building in the world), we were treated to this spectacular panoramic view of Dublin. On the windows you could find descriptions of famous landmarks seen off in the distance. It was a perfect place to relax, sip on a beer and learn a little more about the city.

While not there for long, I could say that Dubling was a success! And also a whole lot of carbs...
